On September 18 th 1961 at 00.00 Dag Hammarskjold aircraft got shot down.
He went on a trip to negotiate, when his Douglas DC-6 airliner SE-BDY crashed near
Ndola, Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). Hammarskjöld and fifteen others perished
in the crash.
